Radek Čermák is the Czech speed ski record holder. He skied 243,572 km/h at the Chabrieres track in the 2017 edition of the Speed Masters.
Born in 1980 he started out as a downhill ski racer. In 2004 he switched to ski cross where he became the Czech champion in 2008. Since 2010, Radek has been racing for the Czech speed ski team.
Radek is a successful speed ski World Cup racer, with an overall best rank of 6th position in 2015, 2012 and 2011. Lately he's been focusing primarily on Speed Masters and World Record attempts. In 2017 he improved his previous Czech record from 242,751 km/h to 243,572 km/h.
Since 2016 he holds the Guinness World Record on speeding with cross country skis at 156,182 km/h. The record was made in Andorra in connection with the World Cup races.
Offseason Radek will either be found in the gym or climbing mountains.
